The rising star maintains substantial social media following
Kai Trump will have numerous high-profile backers as she makes her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates several golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she revealed.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions recently and holds ranking 461 in AJGA standings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, who is dating Vanessa.
"He represents the best player in the world," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He told me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that her participation helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and just introduced her own apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
