The families of teenagers lost after a deadly inferno at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are facing an painful wait for official news and requesting information about their family members publicly.

The inferno ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified video reveal the roof structure igniting as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have stated that it could take an extended period to formally name the victims of the fire, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and injured another 119.
